Introducing:
Sai Sanjeevani
Mobile Hospital #4
Sai Sanjeevani

On October 24, 2023, in Prasanthi Nilayam, members of the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust along with Mr. R.J. Ratnakar, managing trustee of Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust, inaugurated “Sai Sanjeevani”, the fourth mobile hospital that was coordinated and paid for by Prasanthi Trust. (Sanjeevani is the name given to an ancient plant that was said to be able to heal many ailments.)

This mobile hospital replaces the aging first mobile hospital that was inaugurated back in 2006 by Sri Sathya Sai Baba. State of the digitized X-ray machine, Ultrasound with Color Doppler Facility, Ophthalmic unit with 2 chairs and an upgraded Laboratory unit are the salient features of this new diagnostic vehicle that enhances the quality of medical service rendered by 12-15 doctors of multi-specialties. Nearly 500 patients from 250+ villages are treated every day across 12 areas of Sri Sathya Sai District on the first fortnight of every month.

"The curative service, or what we call patient care, rendered by the mobile hospital is of a high quality, owing to what I would say, the onsite availability of multiple specialists, the Sanjeevani [mobile hospital], regularity of service, fixity of approach, a good pharmacy which ensures an uninterrupted supply of medicines and a viable backup support which is required for follow up medicare of some of the ailments."
