Mobile Hospital #6

On Tuesday February 20, 2024, in the Coimbatore area of Tamil Nadu, Mr. R.J. Ratnakar, managing trustee of the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust inaugurated the sixth mobile hospital funded and constructed by Prasanthi Trust. This mobile hospital will be serving 8 adopted villages in and around the Coimbature area.

Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities for general medicine (including an on board Xray machine), ophthalmology, and mother & child care, the mobile hospital embodies the Trust’s unwavering commitment to compassionate service and holistic healthcare delivery.

"The purpose of medicine should not be just to prolong life, but to enhance its quality by alleviating suffering and promoting holistic well-being."

Mr. R.J. Ratnakar waves a green flag infront of the mobile hospital signaling it’s activation into service. The blue and white striped canopy on the side of the bus to shield patients waiting outside from the hot sun is retractable via a remote control.

Mr. Ratnakar simulates the experience that a patient will encounter when being treated for an eye exam. Mrs. Ratnakar looks on.
