Kerala Village Adoption / Grama Seva

About Kerala Village Adoption

In collaboration with Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organization, Kerala and the Alumni of Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning have started to serve the most remote tribal communities to uplift their living standard.

The first phase is to repair their homes, build standalone toilets and build trust through love. Other services include providing nutritional foods, medical camps, teach rural farming, vocational training for youth and value-based education. The first nine villages were adopted and supported with infrastructure needs by the Trust in 2021.

“The adopted child inherits everything that belongs to the parents and not just some parts of it. Adoption cannot be divided into “half adoption” or “quarter adoption”. Likewise when a Village is adopted, it is the responsibility of the organization to provide all that the village needs.

Going to the Villages, knowing the requirements and needs of the Villagers and providing the same so that they can lead better lives is true adoption.” – Sri Sathya Sai Baba
