Vision for All

Under the banner of Vision for All to eradicate Cataract from our State, a project  which was started February 2023 has again slowly and steadily increasing its presence in various villages across Pune dist. Sri Sathya Eye OPD on Wheels is a uniquely successful pilot project of its kind in India with state-of-the-Art machineries specially designed and fitted in a Van with a focus on the eyes health for villagers. The van operates in areas where regular medical checkup camps are being conducted.

Currently the areas served by the mobile Eye OPD are: Dawadi, Shivaji Nagar, Laxmi Nagar, Yerwada, & Industrial area of Yerwada. The number of patients has steadily risen from almost 6,000 patients in June to almost 13,000 patients in August. Patients that have been identified as needing Cataract and/or Pterygium Surgery receive both the surgery and related medications free of cost from the Sri Sathya Sai Netralaya Surgery Center.

Prasanthi Trust provided the mobile van with related equipment for this service.

"Even if you pay a hefty amount of money, you won't get such satisfying consultations. Thanks to such organizations that run this institution free for the poor strata of society."
